David Frith

Born in 1943 David Frith started to make pottery in 1966. Since then he has had an extraordinary career of exhibiting, demonstrating and lecturing around the world. He is particularly admired for his decoration and glazes, always complementing and enhancing the form of the pot. His glazes are rich with wax motifs, heavy over-glazes and trailed pigments. David Frith's pots are always functional in form. He draws inspiration from various traditions, both East and West, but the result is always uniquely his own. Together with his wife Margaret he is still producing wonderful pots in their Brookhouse Pottery in North Wales. You can learn about their current work from their website at www.brookhousepottery.co.uk.
